Just back from six weeks of training and racing in Vail, Colorado and the Canadian Rockies with her coach, Yina Moe-Lang was home for the Christmas break and up early to go skiing with my 8-year old daughter, Zoe, at one of her favorite local ski areas—Alpental. Ranked 292 in the world in 2010 in the women’s downhill and a member of the 2010 Danish Winter Olympic team, Yina Moe-Lange is a poised and independent 17-year-old and one incredible skier. Born in Tokyo, Japan to Danish parents, Yina has Danish citizenship, speaks fluent Danish and loves her Mom’s home-baked rye bread.
